The National Gallery Singapore houses the world's largest collection of Southeast Asian art, displayed in two magnificently restored colonial buildings — the former City Hall and Supreme Court — connected by a dramatic glass canopy.

Gillman Barracks is a cluster of contemporary art galleries in beautifully converted 1930s colonial military barracks, plus the NTU Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) — Singapore's serious art lovers' destination.

The National Design Centre (NDC) is a hub for design and innovation housed in a cluster of restored convent buildings on Middle Road. Run by the DesignSingapore Council, it hosts free exhibitions on Southeast Asian design, architecture, and sustainability, alongside workshops and coworking spaces.

Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle is one of Singapore's last two surviving dragon kilns — traditional 27-metre-long wood-fired kilns built into a slope — surrounded by a lush secondary forest in the far west of the island. Founded in 1940, the pottery still fires its kiln twice a year, producing stoneware using techniques unchanged for generations.
