The Hakone Detached Palace Garden is the beautifully maintained grounds of the former imperial summer villa on the shores of Lake Ashi. Though the palace buildings no longer exist, the waterfront gardens offer serene lake views and elegant landscaping.

The Sengokuhara Susuki Grass Fields are a vast expanse of pampas grass (susuki) covering a volcanic plateau in Hakone's highlands. In autumn, the silver-gold plumes swaying in the mountain breeze create one of the Kanto region's most beloved seasonal landscapes.
