Parks in Genoa

The Monumental Cemetery of Staglieno is one of Europe's largest and most artistically important cemeteries, spread over 33 hectares of hillside northeast of the centre. Its extraordinary collection of 19th and early 20th-century funerary sculpture — from hyperrealist marble figures to Art Nouveau angels — makes it a genuine open-air gallery.

The Parks of Nervi are a chain of historic villa gardens along the clifftop in Genoa's eastern suburb of Nervi. Connected by the spectacular Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi cliffside walk, the parks combine Mediterranean flora, panoramic terraces, and small art galleries in a uniquely scenic setting.

Villetta Di Negro is a lush, terraced public garden cascading down the hillside above Piazza Corvetto. Built around artificial grottos, waterfalls, and winding paths, it offers a romantic, shaded retreat and panoramic views over the rooftops of the Old Town.
