Villetta Di Negro is a lush, terraced public garden cascading down the hillside above Piazza Corvetto. Built around artificial grottos, waterfalls, and winding paths, it offers a romantic, shaded retreat and panoramic views over the rooftops of the Old Town.
Created in the mid-19th century by Marchese Gian Carlo Di Negro, a patron of arts and literature, who transformed the hillside into a romantic garden. He donated it to the city, and it became one of Genoa's first public parks. The Oriental Art Museum was added in 1905.
