Activities in Zagreb

Stadion Maksimir is the home ground of GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia's most successful football club. The stadium sits at the edge of Maksimir Park and is a pilgrimage site for Croatian football fans.

The Zagreb Funicular (Zagrebačka uspinjača) is one of the shortest funicular railways in the world, covering just 66 metres in 55 seconds. It connects the Lower Town's Ilica Street with the Upper Town's Strossmayer Promenade.

Jarun Lake is Zagreb's outdoor recreation hub, a large artificial lake complex southwest of the city center offering beaches, cycling paths, rowing courses, and waterside nightlife. Created for the 1987 Summer Universiade, it's where Zagrebians go to relax and exercise.
