Beaches in Santorini

Kamari is Santorini's longest organized beach, stretching for nearly 5 kilometers along the island's eastern coast. Its distinctive black volcanic sand, backed by the imposing Mesa Vouno mountain, makes it a popular destination for swimming, sunbathing, and waterfront dining.

White Beach (Aspri Paralia) is a secluded cove tucked beneath towering white pumice cliffs just south of Red Beach. Accessible primarily by boat, its isolation and otherworldly rock formations make it one of Santorini's most atmospheric coastal spots.

Perissa is a lively black-sand beach on Santorini's southeastern coast, separated from Kamari by the dramatic Mesa Vouno promontory. Known for its energetic atmosphere, beach bars, and water sports, it is a favorite among younger travelers and families alike.

Red Beach (Kokkini Paralia) is one of Santorini's most visually striking beaches, located just south of the Akrotiri archaeological site. Its dramatic backdrop of towering red and black volcanic cliffs contrasts vividly with the dark pebbled shore and turquoise waters, creating a landscape unlike any other in the Aegean.
