Toqi-Zargaron ('Dome of the Jewellers') is the largest and best-preserved of Bukhara's three remaining 16th-century covered trading domes. These remarkable structures were built at major crossroads along the old city's commercial axis.
Toqi-Zargaron was built in the 16th century during the Shaybanid dynasty as part of a network of covered trade domes along Bukhara's main commercial axis. Historically it housed jewellers and gold dealers. Five such domes originally existed; three survive. After Soviet-era neglect, it was restored in the 1990s.
