Overview
The Pearl River Promenade (珠江滨江步道) is a continuous waterfront walkway stretching several kilometres along the northern bank of the Pearl River, connecting Shamian Island in the west to Ersha Island and Haixinsha in the east.

History
The promenade was developed in stages from the 1990s through the 2010 Asian Games, as Guangzhou reclaimed and beautified its Pearl River waterfront.

- Best Time: 5 PM–9 PM for sunset into night-skyline transitions.
- Length: The full walk from Shamian to Haixinsha is about 6 km (1.5–2 hours at a relaxed pace).
