Nightlife in New York

Brooklyn Mirage is one of the largest open-air music venues in the United States, a massive outdoor club in East Williamsburg that operates seasonally from May through October. Its productions feature elaborate LED installations, immersive sound, and headline electronic music acts.

The Village Vanguard is widely considered the most important jazz club in the world. A small, wedge-shaped basement room on Seventh Avenue South, it has hosted virtually every significant jazz musician since 1935 and produced dozens of landmark live recordings.

The Blue Note is one of the world's most famous jazz clubs, located on West 3rd Street in Greenwich Village. Since 1981, it has hosted nearly every major name in jazz and continues to present two to three shows nightly.

The Comedy Cellar is New York's most famous comedy club, a low-ceilinged MacDougal Street basement in Greenwich Village where top comedians — including surprise drop-ins from Dave Chappelle, Amy Schumer, and Chris Rock — perform nightly.
