Nightlife in Nashville

The Bluebird Cafe is an intimate 90-seat listening room in a strip mall in Green Hills that has launched the careers of Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, and Faith Hill. Since 1982, it has hosted nightly "in-the-round" songwriter sessions where artists sit centre-stage and share the stories behind their songs.

The Station Inn is Nashville's premier bluegrass venue, a no-frills bunker at the edge of the Gulch where some of the world's finest pickers, fiddlers, and mandolin players perform nightly. It's been the epicentre of Nashville's acoustic music scene since 1974.

Robert's Western World is a honky-tonk on Lower Broadway that doubles as a vintage western-wear shop. Known for its cheap beer, classic country jukebox, and world-famous fried bologna sandwiches, it's considered the most authentic bar on a strip increasingly dominated by celebrity-branded mega-venues.
