Shopping in Bangkok

MBK Center (Mah Boon Krong) is an eight-floor bargain mall that has been a Bangkok shopping institution since 1985. With over 2,000 stalls and shops, it is the go-to place for affordable phones, fashion, accessories, and souvenirs.

Siam Paragon is one of Southeast Asia's largest luxury shopping malls, a gleaming complex at the Siam BTS interchange. Beyond high-end fashion, it houses SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World (Southeast Asia's largest aquarium), a 15-screen cinema, and a gourmet food hall.

ICONSIAM is a US$1.65 billion riverside mega-mall that opened in 2018 on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya River. Its centrepiece is SookSiam, an indoor recreation of a Thai floating market, alongside 525 luxury and lifestyle retail outlets.

Terminal 21 is a travel-themed shopping mall near Asok BTS where each floor is designed as a different world city — Tokyo, London, Istanbul, San Francisco — complete with themed restrooms. The mall's affordable food court on the top floors is legendary for quality Thai dishes under 50 baht.
