Odori Park is a 1.5 km green belt that divides Sapporo's downtown grid between the North and South districts. Running east–west from the Sapporo TV Tower to Sapporo District Court, the park serves as the main venue for the Sapporo Snow Festival (February), the Lilac Festival (May), and the Autumn Fest beer garden (September).

Moerenuma Park is a 189-hectare landscape park on a reclaimed waste disposal site, designed by Japanese-American sculptor Isamu Noguchi. The park's geometric hills, fountains, and play equipment function as massive sculptures integrated into the landscape. It represents Noguchi's lifelong vision of sculpting the earth itself.

Established in 1886 by Hokkaido University's second president, Kingo Miyabe, this 13.3-hectare botanical garden houses over 4,000 plant species native to Hokkaido and beyond. It includes a natural forest area, a rock garden, and the Ainu Museum displaying artifacts of Hokkaido's indigenous people.

Nakajima Park is a tranquil urban park in central Sapporo featuring a large pond, Japanese garden, and several historic buildings. The park's centerpiece is Hasso-an, an Edo-period teahouse relocated from a feudal lord's estate, where visitors can enjoy matcha tea in a traditional setting. The park is a quiet respite just south of the Susukino entertainment district.
Nopporo Forest Park (Nopporo Shinrin Koen) is a 2,053-hectare natural forest park spanning Sapporo and the neighboring city of Ebetsu. It preserves one of the largest remaining tracts of lowland forest near Sapporo and contains the Hokkaido Museum, the Historical Village of Hokkaido, and a 100-year memorial tower. The park offers hiking trails through dense birch and oak forest.
Maruyama Park is a 68-hectare natural park centered on the 225-meter Mount Maruyama, preserving a primeval forest of Mongolian oaks and katsura trees within the city. It is one of Sapporo's premier cherry blossom and autumn foliage spots and features hiking trails, a small zoo, and the approach to Hokkaido Jingu Shrine.
