The Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga (CAC) is a free contemporary art centre in the converted Mercado de Mayoristas, a 1930s wholesale market building on the banks of the Guadalmedina river. It hosts rotating exhibitions of international and Spanish contemporary art.

The Museo Jorge Rando is a free museum dedicated to the expressionist painter Jorge Rando, a Málaga native. Housed in a renovated historic building in the Cruz del Molinillo neighbourhood, it displays both the artist's own work and temporary exhibitions by other expressionists.

La Térmica is a multidisciplinary cultural centre in a former thermal power station on the western edge of the city. It hosts art exhibitions, concerts, film screenings, theatre, and public talks.
