Galleries in Guangzhou

The 53 Art Museum on the Sun Yat-sen University campus is a contemporary art institution hosting rotating exhibitions of Chinese and international art with a focus on social commentary and new media. The museum occupies a modern building within the historic campus grounds.

Designed by Rem Koolhaas / OMA, the Guangdong Times Museum cantilevers dramatically over a residential neighbourhood in Huangpu. The building is as much an art piece as its contents — which focus on Chinese and international contemporary art with an emphasis on site-specific installations.

TIT Creative Industry Zone (T.I.T 创意园) is a regenerated textile factory campus at the foot of Canton Tower, now housing WeChat's global headquarters alongside independent galleries, design studios, and artisan coffee shops.
