Parks in Perth

Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a 400-hectare reserve perched on Mount Eliza overlooking the Swan River and Perth's skyline. One of the world's largest inner-city parks, it blends manicured gardens with remnant bushland and is managed by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority.

Heirisson Island is a small, natural island in the Swan River connected to both shores by the Causeway bridges. Remarkably for a city-centre location, it is home to a mob of western grey kangaroos that roam freely through the riverside bushland.

Bold Park is a 437-hectare urban bushland reserve between the coast and the suburb of City Beach. It protects rare banksia woodland and tuart forest, offering walking and cycling trails with glimpses of the Indian Ocean through the canopy.
