Mead Botanical Garden is a 47-acre community garden and nature preserve in Winter Park. It features butterfly gardens, native plant collections, walking trails, and a natural amphitheater used for outdoor concerts.
The garden began as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project in the 1930s. After decades of neglect, community volunteers revitalized it beginning in 2000, restoring trails and planting native species.
