Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum occupies Hangar No. 1 of the former Lowry Air Force Base, housing an impressive collection of over 50 aircraft, space vehicles, and aviation artifacts spanning a century of flight.

History

Lowry Air Force Base served as a military training facility from 1938 to 1994. The museum opened in 1994 in the base's massive Art Deco hangar, preserving both the historic building and Colorado's aviation heritage.
