Larimer Square is Denver's oldest and most charming commercial block, located on the 1400 block of Larimer Street in LoDo. The Victorian buildings house upscale restaurants, boutiques, and galleries beneath signature string lights.
Founded in 1858 by General William Larimer, this was Denver's first commercial street. By the 1960s it had fallen into disrepair. Developer Dana Crawford led a pioneering preservation effort in 1965, making it one of the first urban historic districts saved from demolition in the U.S.
