TD Garden is Boston's premier indoor arena, home to the NBA's Boston Celtics and the NHL's Boston Bruins. Located above North Station, the 19,600-seat venue hosts over 200 events annually including concerts, ice shows, and championship sports.

History

TD Garden (originally FleetCenter) opened in 1995, replacing the beloved Boston Garden that had stood since 1928. It was built directly above the old Garden, which was demolished after the new arena opened. The venue was renamed TD Banknorth Garden in 2005 and shortened to TD Garden in 2009.

Visitor Tips

• Arrive via T: North Station (Green/Orange Lines) is directly below the arena.
• Pre-game dining: The surrounding West End and Causeway Street offer dozens of sports bars and restaurants.
