Boston Children's Museum

Overview

Boston Children's Museum, founded in 1913, is one of the oldest and largest children's museums in the United States. Located on Fort Point Channel in the Seaport, the museum features three floors of interactive exhibits designed for ages 0–10.

History

Founded in 1913 on Jamaica Plain's Burroughs Street, it moved to the Fort Point Channel waterhouse in 1979. A major renovation in 2007 added green building features, including its distinctive 40-foot milk bottle landmark outside.

• Best time to visit: Weekday mornings are least crowded.
