Moda is Kadıköy's seaside sub-district of Art Nouveau villas, shaded side streets, independent bookshops and a breezy coastal promenade facing the Princes' Islands.

History

Developed as a residential suburb for the city's Greek and Armenian communities in the late 19th century, Moda's architectural character was established before the Republic and has been carefully preserved.

• Tip: Walk the full coastal loop from Kadıköy pier to Moda pier and back—about 4 km.
