Hwanho Park & Beach Trail

Overview

Hwanho Park is a long, narrow seaside park stretching along the Pohang waterfront between the harbour and Bukbu Beach. The paved coastal trail, shaded by pines, connects the ferry terminal to the beach district and is popular with joggers, cyclists, and sunset strollers.

History

The park was developed in the 1990s as part of Pohang's harbour-area greening programme, converting former port-adjacent wasteland into public green space. It was extended northward to connect with the beach area in 2012.

• Combine with: Walk from Jukdo Market north through the park to Bukbu Beach.
