Tekka Centre is Little India's bustling wet market and hawker centre, occupying a two-storey building at the junction of Serangoon Road and Bukit Timah Road. The ground floor houses a traditional wet market selling fresh fish, meats, and spices, while the upper level contains one of Singapore's most diverse hawker centres.
Built in 1982 to consolidate Little India's scattered hawkers and wet-market vendors, Tekka Centre replaced the old Tekka Market, a fixture of the neighbourhood since the 1920s. It remains the commercial heart of Little India.
