Supertree Grove
The Supertree Grove is the iconic centrepiece of Gardens by the Bay, comprising 18 tree-shaped structures ranging from 25 to 50 metres tall. These vertical gardens are clad in over 162,900 plants — bromeliads, orchids, ferns, and tropical climbers — and function as environmental engines, harvesting solar energy, collecting rainwater, and venting the conservatories' exhaust heat.

Highlights
- OCBC Skyway: A 128-metre elevated walkway connecting two Supertrees at 22 metres above ground (ticketed).
- Garden Rhapsody: Nightly light-and-sound shows at 19:45 and 20:45 — free to watch from the ground.
- Solar Power: The largest Supertree generates enough solar energy to illuminate the entire grove at night.
History
Designed by Grant Associates and Atelier One, the Supertrees opened alongside Gardens by the Bay in June 2012. They have since become Singapore's most photographed landmark and a symbol of the city-state's green urbanism.
Visitor Tips
- Watch Garden Rhapsody lying on the grass: The best spot is at the base of the Supertrees.
- Skyway at sunset: The elevated walk is best experienced just before the light show.
- Duration: 30–45 minutes.
