Sembawang Hot Spring Park

Overview

Sembawang Hot Spring Park is Singapore's only natural hot spring, located in the northern Sembawang neighbourhood. Reopened in 2020 after extensive landscaping, the park channels geothermally heated water (up to 70°C) into tiered stone soaking pools where visitors can dip their feet, and provides egg-cooking stations where you can hard-boil eggs in the mineral water.

History

The hot spring was discovered in the 1900s during British military operations. It became a popular local bathing spot in the post-war years. After temporary closure, NParks redesigned the area as a proper park, reopening it in January 2020 with modern facilities and a heritage interpretive trail.

• Bring a towel and eggs: Towels for foot-dipping, eggs for the boiling station.
• Weekday mornings are quietest: It's a popular neighbourhood gathering spot.
