Labrador Nature Reserve is a 20-hectare coastal park preserving Singapore's last stretch of natural rocky sea cliff. Combining old-growth secondary forest, WW2 gun emplacements, and mangrove boardwalks, the reserve offers a rare glimpse of the island's pre-development coastline.
Named after a Labrador dog who helped local fishermen, the park preserves artillery batteries installed by the British in the 1880s and upgraded by the Japanese during the Occupation. The reserve was gazetted in 2002, saving the coastline from development.
