Longji Terrace Sunrise Platform

Overview

An elevated viewing deck above the Longji (Dragon's Backbone) rice terraces — Guangxi's most photographed landscape — offering sunrise panoramas over layered paddies that change colour with the seasons.

History

The terraces were carved by Zhuang and Yao farmers starting in the Yuan dynasty (c. 1280); the viewing platform was added in 2010.
