Overview

Tra Que Vegetable Village is a 300-year-old organic farming community about 3 km northeast of the Ancient Town. Surrounded by herb gardens and rice paddies, it offers immersive cooking classes and farming experiences that connect visitors to Hoi An's culinary heritage.

History

Tra Que has supplied Hoi An's kitchens with fresh herbs and vegetables since the 18th century. The village is known for its unique algae-based fertilizer from the neighboring De Vong River, which gives us produce a distinctive flavor.
