An Bang Beach is Hoi An's most popular beach destination, a 4 km stretch of fine golden sand located about 4 km northeast of the Ancient Town. Named one of the world's best beaches by multiple travel outlets, it offers a relaxed mix of beach bars, surfing conditions, and tranquil stretches.

History

An Bang was a quiet fishing beach until the mid-2000s when backpackers discovered it as an alternative to the eroding Cua Dai Beach. It has since developed into a well-managed beach destination while retaining its laid-back charm.
