At 375 meters, the Tashkent Television Tower is the tallest structure in Central Asia and offers panoramic views of the city and the snow-capped Tian Shan mountains from its observation deck at 94 meters.
Completed in 1985, the tower was designed to withstand earthquakes of magnitude 9.0 — critical for seismically active Tashkent. It served as Central Asia's main broadcasting hub during the Soviet era. The observation deck and restaurant were opened to the public in the 1990s.
