Broadway (Sayilgoh Street) is Tashkent's main pedestrian boulevard — a tree-lined promenade stretching from Amir Timur Square to Independence Square, lined with street portrait artists, souvenirs, and outdoor cafés.
The street was designated as Tashkent's 'Broadway' in the post-Soviet period, modeled on the idea of a vibrant pedestrian cultural zone. It quickly became the city's social heart, where Tashkenters of all ages come to stroll, socialize, and enjoy the evening air — a tradition known as the 'gulyanie.'
