Barak Khan Madrasah is a 16th-century Islamic educational institution within the Khast Imam Complex. Its ornately tiled façade and functioning Islamic library make it one of Tashkent's most important historical buildings.
Built in the mid-16th century by Barak Khan, grandson of Ulugh Beg, the madrasah became one of Tashkent's main centers of Islamic scholarship. It suffered damage in the 1966 earthquake and was restored in the early 2000s as part of the Khast Imam renovation project.
