The Pattaya Floating Market (Four Regions Floating Market) is a purpose-built attraction recreating the canal-based commerce of central Thailand. Its four zones represent Thailand's geographic regions — North, Northeast, Central, and South — each serving regional dishes and selling regional handicrafts from traditional wooden boats and stilt houses.
The market opened in 2008 as a tourist attraction designed to showcase diverse Thai culinary and craft traditions in a single, Instagram-friendly venue. It sits on a network of artificial canals spanning 100,000 square metres.
