Pantai Pasir Tengkorak (Skull Sand Beach) is a hidden public beach on Langkawi's remote northern coast, known for its crystal-clear water, volcanic rock formations, and peaceful atmosphere. Part of the Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park, it combines geological interest with excellent snorkelling.
The beach's name, meaning 'skull sand', has various folk explanations — some link it to a legendary battle, others to the round white stones on the shore. It was gazetted as part of the Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park when Langkawi received UNESCO Global Geopark status in 2007.
