The Langkawi Geopark Discovery Centre is an interactive museum located at the Oriental Village (SkyCab base station), explaining the island's extraordinary 550-million-year geological history and its status as Malaysia's first UNESCO Global Geopark.
The centre was established after Langkawi became Southeast Asia's first UNESCO Global Geopark in 2007. It serves as the educational hub for the three geoforest parks — Machinchang Cambrian, Kilim Karst, and Dayang Bunting Marble — helping visitors understand the geological significance of what they see.
