Overview

- Ger camps: Stay overnight in a traditional felt ger with a wood-burning stove, experiencing nomadic hospitality.
- Hiking and horse riding: Trails wind through larch forests, river valleys, and alpine meadows with mountain views.
History
Established as a national park in 1993, Gorkhi-Terelj protects 2,867 sq km of mountainous terrain in the Khan Khentii range. The area has been used as summer pasture by nomadic herders for centuries and retains an active pastoral community.
