Sakura Tower's rooftop bar sits atop one of Yangon's tallest buildings, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the city. From this vantage point you can see Shwedagon and Sule pagodas, the Yangon River, and the sprawling cityscape extending to the horizon. The experience is best at sunset when the golden hour lights up the pagodas.
Sakura Tower was completed in 1999 as part of a wave of Japanese-financed development in Myanmar. At 20 storeys, it was one of Yangon's first modern high-rise buildings. The rooftop bar has become one of the city's best-known viewpoints, popular with both visitors and expats.
