First President's Park

The Park of the First President is a modern landscaped park on Almaty's southern edge, offering wide paths, fountains, and unobstructed views of the Alatau mountain range. It provides a quieter alternative to the city's older Soviet parks.

History

Inaugurated in 2010, the park was designed as a modern green space on what was previously underused land on the city's southern fringe. It has quickly become popular for jogging, cycling, and family outings.
