Arasan Baths

The Arasan Bathhouse is a grand public bathing complex in central Almaty, offering Russian steam baths, Finnish saunas, and Eastern-style hammams under one ornamental roof. It's a cherished local institution and one of the finest bathhouses in Central Asia.

History

Opened in 1982, Arasan was designed as a showpiece Soviet public bathhouse. It was renovated in the 2000s and remains one of the most popular — and affordable — social institutions in the city.
