History
The Jeju Olle Trail was created by journalist Seo Myung-sook, inspired by Spain's Camino de Santiago, and opened its first route in 2007. 'Olle' is a Jeju dialect word meaning 'narrow lane leading from the street to one's doorstep.' The trail system has won international walking trail awards.
Visitor Tips
- Distance: Route 7 covers about 15 km and takes 4–5 hours.
- Trail Markers: Follow the blue Olle ribbon markers and distinctive Ganse (pony) sculptures.
- Duration: 4–5 hours.
