Fukuoka Tower stands at 234 meters tall, making it Japan's tallest seaside tower and one of the city's most recognizable landmarks. Its mirror-clad triangular exterior reflects the sky and sea, while the observation deck at 123 meters provides a 360-degree panorama of Fukuoka, Hakata Bay, and the surrounding mountains.
Fukuoka Tower was built in 1989 as part of the Asian-Pacific Exposition celebrating Fukuoka's role as a gateway to Asia. Designed by Nikken Sekkei, its triangular cross-section and mirror-glass facade were revolutionary at the time. It has since become the symbol of the Momochi seaside area.
