The Indo-Portuguese Museum is housed in the garden of the Bishop's House near Santa Cruz Basilica, showcasing artifacts that document the centuries-long Portuguese presence in Kochi. The collection spans religious art, colonial artifacts, and cultural relics from the 16th to 18th centuries.
The museum was established in 1994 within the compound of the Bishop's House, built on land that has been associated with the Catholic diocese since the Portuguese arrival in 1500. It was created to preserve rapidly disappearing artifacts from churches being renovated or demolished across Kerala.
