A self-guided or organized heritage walk along the Yamuna River ghats north of Old Delhi, passing cremation grounds, ancient temples, and the forgotten riverfront of Mughal Shahjahanabad.
The Yamuna ghats formed the eastern boundary of Shah Jahan's walled city. For centuries they served as the city's water source, bathing area, and cremation ground. The riverfront has been partially restored under the Delhi government's heritage initiative.
