Ulsoor Lake is a scenic urban lake in central-east Bengaluru, one of the city's largest with several small islands and a boat club. Surrounded by walking paths and greenery, it is a popular spot for morning jogs, boating, and birdwatching.
Built by Kempe Gowda II in the 16th century, Ulsoor Lake was originally created to serve as a reservoir. The British developed its banks as a cantonment recreation area. It covers about 50 acres and has been a protected lake since the 1990s.
