The Mtatsminda Pantheon is a hilltop cemetery and memorial garden on Mount Mtatsminda, where Georgia’s most celebrated writers, artists, and national heroes are buried.

History

Established in 1829, the Pantheon became the most prestigious burial site in Georgia. Figures interred here include Ilia Chavchavadze, Akaki Tsereteli, and Meliton Balanchivadze.
