Shenzhen Safari Park

Overview

Shenzhen Safari Park is one of China's first walk-through safari parks, set across 60 hectares in Nanshan. It houses over 10,000 animals from 300 species in naturalistic enclosures and expansive drive-through zones.

History

The park opened in 1993 during Shenzhen's theme park boom and was one of the first wildlife parks in southern China. It has since expanded and modernised its enclosures, moving toward more naturalistic habitats in line with contemporary zoo management practices.
