Highlights
- Gallery Crawl: Dozens of independent galleries and pop-up exhibition spaces cluster along the park's main lanes.
- Craft Beer and Coffee Scene: The area contains some of Shenzhen's best independent cafés and taprooms.
- T-Street Festival: Held twice yearly (spring and autumn), this design and music festival transforms the streets with installations and live performances.
History
The Overseas Chinese Town Group repurposed the former industrial site in 2004, inspired by Beijing's 798 Art District and New York's SoHo. The adaptive reuse preserved original industrial structures while layering contemporary architecture on top. It has since become a model for creative urban regeneration in Chinese cities.
Visitor Tips
- Best Time: Weekday afternoons are quieter; weekend evenings are livelier with street food and music.
