Nine Eyes Bridge (Jiuyanqiao) is Chengdu's nightlife epicenter, where a strip of bars, clubs, and live music venues lines both banks of the Jin River. The area comes alive after dark with neon reflections on the water and crowds spilling onto riverside terraces.
The original Nine Eyes Bridge was built during the Ming dynasty and named for its nine arched openings (eyes). The modern nightlife district developed in the 2000s as Chengdu's bar culture boomed alongside its economic growth.
