The State War Memorial in Kings Park is Western Australia's principal memorial to citizens who served in war. Set on the escarpment edge of Kings Park, it offers one of Perth's most commanding panoramic views across the Swan River, CBD, and Darling Scarp.
The cenotaph was unveiled on Anzac Day 1929 and has been the site of the state's principal dawn service ever since. The surrounding precinct was expanded in 1962 with the Pool of Reflection and Eternal Flame.
