Elizabeth Quay is a $440 million waterfront development opened in 2016, reconnecting Perth's CBD to the Swan River for the first time in decades. The precinct includes public plazas, a children's playground, and a ferry terminal.
For over a century, the Perth foreshore was cut off from the city by a busy road and railway. The Elizabeth Quay project, designed by ARM Architecture, created an artificial inlet and public spaces, opening in January 2016.
